Capoeira: Movement, Awareness, and Balance
In addition to my career in information technology, I carry with me more than two decades of experience in capoeira – a Brazilian cultural expression that integrates art, combat, and philosophy.
The continuous practice of capoeira has taught me the importance of resilience, active listening, and conscious decision-making. With each roda (circle), I practice adaptability, respect for diversity, and the pursuit of balance between action and reflection. These principles are directly applied to my professional life: thinking before acting, collaborating ethically, and staying true to promises and commitments.
Being a capoeirista is not just about mastering physical movements, but rather developing strategic vision, environmental awareness, and the ability to handle adversity in a creative and respectful manner.
Capoeira has taught me something no programming language could ever teach on its own: the importance of human relationships in the process of building solutions.
